About the Denver VOICE

What is Denver VOICE?
We are a street paper. That means we create a newspaper for individuals experiencing homelessness to sell and earn an income. Our vendors keep 100% of the profit from Newspaper sales. The organization is funded through individual donors, sponsorships, ads and grants.

Every month, our program created $15,000 to $20,000 of income for more than 60 vendors through paper sales. And here's what that means for you: for every dollar you donate, creates nearly $1.50 in income for our unhoused vendors.

How Your Support Helps
Buy a paper.
When you buy a Denver VOICE paper straight from a vendor, that money goes directly into their pocket. Every dollar. No cut, no overhead, just income for the person who sold it to you.

Make a donation. Paper sales support our vendors, but they don't run our organization. The Denver VOICE relies on donations and fundraising to keep the presses running, train and support our vendors, and grow our impact across Denver. Your gift is what makes the whole model possible.

Meet the Vendors
We currently have nearly 65 vendors selling the Denver VOICE. Here’s some of their stories.

Albert

Albert was living in a shelter waiting for housing when he realized he needed to take things into his own hands. He started selling the Denver VOICE and earned enough to afford his own apartment. Albert is our top seller and his work ethic is something to marvel.

Raelene

Raelene is one of our long term vendors. She sells the Denver VOICE in Boulder. She is over 65-years-old and receives minimal Social Security because of her long term homelessness. Selling the Denver VOICE has helped Raelene pay for her trailer in Boulder County where she and her dog have made a happy home.

David

David has been a Denver VOCIE vendor for years. In 2025 he was living on the streets when our team convinced him to start Case Management. Within months of connecting David to services he was able to secure a transitional housing voucher. he continues to sell the VOICE and has found added security through human services.

Sondra

Sondra has been a Denver VOICE vendor for the past 18 months. She has built a community of individuals who loved buying the paper from her and admiring her art.
